Tax Preparation
Our accounting firm will professionally and efficiently prepare any income tax return that your business requires. While we specialize in small businesses, we also prepare individual, partnership, corporate, and non-profit tax returns. In addition to Minnesota returns, we do many part-year & nonresident tax returns, Wisconsin in particular, and any other of the 50 states you require. We prepare tax returns for all 50 states and can electronically file to all of them. If you just need to file for a rent or property tax rebate (M1PR) we can do that as well. See our bookkeeping section for any payroll, sales tax or unemployment liability returns that you need filed. Jon, Loretta and Mary are available all year for appointments, but we also complete hundreds of dropped-off and mailed-in tax returns each year.
We will electronically file your income tax return and directly deposit your refund free of charge. Electronically filing tax returns is very advantageous to the taxpayer. We will know within a day or two if the IRS has accepted the error-free return and your refund will likely come within 10-14 days instead of 6-8 weeks.
Our office is open all year long. It is easy to contact us if you have a question or for that last minute tax return copy needed to refinance or purchase a house.
Estimated rates (NOT a quote, since our rates are time based, this is just an ESTIMATE):
Dependent, if we do parent's return: $10
Single, 1-3 W-2's: $45
Single, 2 kids, EIC, 1-3 W-2's: $60-75
Married, 2 kids, mortgage, daycare, a few stocks/interest: $115-150
Stock entries are billed at $100/hr
Small business: add $50+ Price depends on organization of records
Partnerships: $150+
Corporations: $150+
M1PR (rent rebate): $10 if done at same time as tax return, $15 if brought in after
Amendments: $35 if we did the tax return, $50 if we did not
Consultations: $50
These are our beginning prices, actual charges will be based on tax return compilation time. We accept Mastercard, VISA, Discover, cash and checks. We also can take our tax preparation fee out of your federal refund for an additional $15 fee (personal bank account and ID required). Please keep in mind that THE AVERAGE TAX RETURN PREPARED BY A NATIONAL CHAIN TAX OFFICE IS 2-3 TIMES MORE than what we will charge you for the same service!
